We still offer the following words of wisdom to those who may read this introduction, that you too can capture outstanding images without going into hock and refinancing your home to purchase the latest and greatest in today's ever changing photographic market. Sara and I often that the core essence of great photography is the composition and not the equipment used to capture the image. Once a photographer looks at his art form like an oil painter would, he or she looks to composing the image taking into consideration the lighting, the subject and any distractions which may be in direct conflict with the subject. Having accepted these basic principles, life's seamless stream of opportunity provide countless chances to capture the simple subjects in unusual poses and positions, such as two chimpanzees in the zoo "kissing" or preening or a more exotic outing like a trip to Alaska or New Zealand. You the photographer capture a moment in time, never to be repeated. There is no guarantee that the image will net you "a million dollars", but the fact that you took the time to position yourself and compose your subject will take your images to the next level. Try to remember that you can produce award winning images by having a positive attitude and looking at your art form as something that is unique to your vision and your images will shine and be one of a kind, guaranteed!
